Is this weight loss possible?

May 11th, 2011

I am trying to lose weight for my wedding on June 26, 2010 and want to know how I can increase my weight loss? Any tips?

Some backround info:
I Just had a baby on December 18th
I’m 5’7″ and weigh 196 lbs at the moment (reached 220 while pregnant)
I weighed 163 before I got pregnant and was “ok” with my body, I was happiest when I was 140 (before my first child)
I am planning on working out Mon, Wed, Fri evenings for an hr at the gym, …Tues and Thurs if I get a chance ill do some physical activity like walking at the park when I take my son
I just ordered Nutrisystem
I am taking Alli
I have hypothyroid

Please help with any sincere advice! How much weight can I lose?!

well i couldnt say exactly what you would lose, but if you eat right you should get down to a good weight. Also you should be taking pills for hypothyroidism so thats not really an excuse!

Your plan for exercising is good, but you don’t need Nutrisystem or Alli. All you need to do for your diet is to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, and foods high in fiber such as nuts and the green veggies. Also do not forget to drink lots of water, at least 4 cups a day. Start carrying a water bottle around. You should avoid junk food and sweets. If you do all this consistently, you should be able to make your goal. Good luck and congrats!! 🙂

you have a fair chunk of time, so I’d say if you really keep at it, you could lose maybe almost 30 pounds? Maybe more if you really want it.
Eat 60% less carbs than you’re currently taking in, and replace that with lean meat. Yeah its a little expensive, but the lack of carbs will make your body resort to turning the fat free foods into energy, AND turn your pre existing fat into energy.
YOu probably already know the eat whole grains and drink water thing, but its really important.
I hope it goes well for you

    Hi,

Considering that you just had a baby last year. You would really gain weight on those days but after giving birth you must really need to exercise, you also need to watch and be careful what you eat.
Now that would be a hassle on your part.
try to refer to this site. they have good views on slimming down and burning those belly fats..

You can do it! I think it sounds like you’ve got things covered. Eat healthy food, exercise, and go easy on the Alli (especially making sure that you’re reducing the fat in your diet so it doesn’t have to block an unhealthy amount). I would also make sure that you’re getting essential vitamins in your diet. Alli can prevent your body from absorbing them, and especially if you have some other health problems you need to make sure you’re getting all of the nutrients you need.

Also – this may sound weird, but eat breakfast – even if it’s something small. It gets your metabolism going in the morning and it will help you lose weight faster.
