I need help planning my parents vow renewal!?

April 29th, 2011

My parents have been married for almost 8 years, and I want to plan their vow renewal. The problem is, I’m 14 and don’t know a thing about weddings or planning, all I know is that the couple kiss and happily ever after…sometimes. I want to show them how much I love them and appreciate them, and I will be having a job this summer to pay for it. The other thing is that I want to keep it a secret. The plan is that I’m going to put an invitation in our mailbox the day before, since I don’t have a car or anything to actually drive them to the lake where it’s going to take place at. I already have the pastor whom I am really good friends with, the bed and breakfast where they will be staying at (Country Charm Bed & Breakfast), the date (July 30th), the color scheme, and the guest list. I am also going to do a speech, which I have already typed out. But now I am lost. I still need to plan a couple bride & groom games, which I have no clue about what to do. I will be making their cake at my friend’s house, along with the food. There is a place here in town and they sell clothes and formal wear for relatively low prices which is where I am going to get the dress and tuxedo. My mom is a photographer, which is also my future job, so she has a professional camera which I will be using. I have already made the invitations, they just need to be printed. What kind of decorations will I need for a wedding by the lake? I’m trying to keep it low-budget, but not tacky. Anything will help right now…
Thanks 🙂
They didn’t have an actual wedding, they got married in Reno while I was away at my grandma’s. Anyways, I wouldn’t remember it being how I was 7 and I don’t remember anything before the age of 9.
