Does anyone know of a good wedding venue in the Tampa Bay area?

April 5th, 2010

I’m trying to plan a wedding on the most limited budget ever!! I’m looking for a nice place to have a wedding that is cheap. I’m not going to get married there but will have a ring exchange ceremony and reception. It doesn’t have to offer catering because i have friends that can do the food for me for less. If its a restaurant or includes food, thats ok as long as its not too expensive. I have really expensive, sophisticated taste but no money to carry out what i really want. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It’s where my school had their IB senior banquet. I don’t know the financial figures but my school’s broke so it can’t be that much and I’ve only heard good things about it.

Here are websites for the area counties’ public parks:
    Pinellas http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/default.htm
    Hillsborough http://www.hillsboroughcounty.org/parks/
    Pasco http://www.pascocountyfl.net/pubser/deptp/parks.html
But if you go the public park route, you need to be mindful of their policy on alcohol.

You should also drive along the beaches & look at the hotels – not the big chain hotels, but the smaller, independently owned hotels. You might be able to get a really great deal on both ceremony/reception services along with hotel rooms. Also check with restaurants directly. Many of them have private rooms with decks that they will let you use as a condition of your party.

I’ve been to weddings at the Lyceum (sp?) in St. Pete & Safety Harbor Resort & Spa – both were beautiful! But depend on your budget.
