im getting married on october 6 this yr and need some decoration ideas and tips for fall weddings. i havent decided what to decorate the tables and everything in….
i would like the decorations to be elegant but yet laid back, my cake colors are burgundy and ivory, so i could play off those and still do a fall themed reception also, do you think?
My girlfriend did sunflowers and colored leaves a couple of years ago.
im the maid of honor in my best friends wedding on oct 7th, and she has the same theme. she got some fall colored big candles from walmart real cheap, then put fake leave around the bottom of them like a wreath almost. she also glued a cardboard circle around the bottom for something for the leaves to stick to!

I would stick to earthy colors – red, orange, browns. I would incorporate pumpkins, you could cut off the top and use as a vase for flowers on the table for a centerpiece. You could fill with sunflowers and roses,etc. Cranberries are popular to for fall weddings. Also wine and cider for a drink. Perfect pears, corn on the cob, vegetable and fruit harvest, hay, wheat, sunflowers, pumpkins, autumn color leaves. Have fun deciding, and hurry up the day is coming soon. lol
cover tables in white linen and line table with white lights and then edge the tables and area with white (christmas tree lights) then edge around area with fake fall leaves they are very decorative have plenty of candels lit never enough candels
i had a fall wedding last year. We had leaf garland on the front of the tables, leaves on the tables and a leave centerpiece above the dancefloor. you can email me for pictures. we had chocolate brown/gold colors.
I saw a wedding last year with brown and orange colors it turned out so nice. you should try ivory and burgundy um I forget what its called its mesh looking stuff they have it a walmart. But get that in your colors and string lights through it and hang it around door ways and across the cellings. That also saves $ on balloons. But still use balloons around the cake table,gift table, the dance floor. as for table decorations leaves are pretty but everyone is using them. Go for Ivory table cloths with glass bowls with floating candles as a center pieces but color your water burgudy. If you are using other colors mix up the colored water. If you still want the leaves go for the little confetti kind and put it aroud the bowls, you can buy it at the party store, if you are doing table favors like nut cups try mints nuts and candy corn mixed together, put them in little cups and glue a flower that matches the ones you will carry. a strip of shiny ribbon down the middle of the table is pretty also and would go good with the floating candles. Its pretty easy to get a nice look and still go casual. I
